Every cup tells a story. Even ours.

Nick is the son of Greek immigrant parents. While being raised on Chesapeake Bay crabs and cable tv, he also grew up with lamb on hand cranked spit, celebrating name days, and parents “passionately discussing” most subjects.

Dominique is your average American mutt but like all “converts” her enthusiasm for all things Greek matches (or even sometimes outshines) that of her husband. For YEARS, she’s been zealously (mostly) trying to learn the language.

Together they enjoy brewing and sipping on Greek coffee (even when the Greek café views don’t come with it), discussing all the ways the Baboula kept Nick out of trouble as a child, and dreaming about moving to Greece someday.

Cup of Fate started the way most good things do, around a small table with the people they love and a hot cup of Greek coffee. On a recent (but far too rare) trip to Greece, they sat in a café in Thessaloniki, sipping the same drink that held them together, and wondered: wouldn’t it be cool if there were an app that could read your fortune in the coffee grounds? And Cup of Fate genesis began.

While Nick and Dominique’s love for coffee inspired them to create an app that helped users discover their fortune, their creativity soon expanded beyond technology. This led to a collection of fun, artistic, coffee themed T-shirt designs. As their business grew, their designs expanded beyond coffee to celebrate all things Greek. Cup of Fate brings together their passion for coffee, creativity, culture, and fashion in one unique brand.

We built Cup of Fate for everyone who’s ever sat across a yia yia or sister at their own dining room table or from a stranger in a café in Greece and felt that unmistakable connection only coffee and conversation can create.

Let Cup of Fate be your grounds interpreter. Pour your story. See where the conversation goes.
